So had a great work day and ride with the louisianaoffroad.com crew today, that is until I tried to grab a tree branch to break it, and when I came down, it was straight into a rut on the my left ankle. Hurt like a beioch. Spent a few minutes on the ground trying to get through the pain to get back to my jeep (roughly 100 yards away, and up what appeared to be the steepest hill in Louisiana). Was able to stand use a make shift crutch to start the climb. 5 minutes into it, the pine needles on the ground decided to show me that they were concealing yet another rut, and decided to take my same foot, the same way and down I go again. Stays down for 20 minutes this time fighting back waves of nausea and seeing spots, then made my way back to the jeep. Rode the rest of the trails, and when I got home and took off my shoe, it was nice and swollen.

Yep, bet thats just great. lol.

When did you take lessons from me on avoiding personal injury, Alpine? I used to get hurt so often that my family referred to as an accident looking for a place to happen.

I trying to avoid the dr, because I know he is going to tell me to stay off of it for a lot longer than I want to stay away from work.

Use the time wisely. Either work the desk or take out a scaler. When they ask how you're doing, you can say you've been crawling all day. :whhooo::D

Hahaha. I got a new rookie next week, and y'all know how much I love harassing my rookies.

Nope. Not sure. Feels better though. Then again that could be the 12 pack I just ripped the heads off of and drank their insides.

Ibuprofen will get you up and around in no time, but the pain will hit harder when you stop taking them. I sprained my foot badly when I was in Iceland in 05, doctors there gave me a prescription for 600mg ibuprofen tablets to be taken three times a day.

Worst part is, since it's a sprain(or similar) and not broken bones. It can take up to a year before your foot feels alright again. Mine took 11 months before I didn't have discomfort moving my foot to the extremes.

get well soon

I think I could deal with some pain I just can't handle no feeling

I just lost the feeling on my right hand

its my last to fingers and half my hand

this freaks me out

Maybe he can play the sympathy card for a little extra TLC from the g/f......

She has been awesome with the whole thing. Even cleaned out the entire interior of the jeep after the ride.

Looks much better today, but looked scary last night.
