Hey guyz, i was just curious,i will only have enough money to get everything for a starterbox, but then i would have to pay like 20 bux for a backplate(i dont have just yet). Right now, i have a roto start backplate, can i use the starter box even tho i have the roto start back plate on??

:hammer:

Just leave it as is. You don't need to replace the backplate. I stuck an HPI .21 pullsatart on my buggy as a basher motor so I can save my Sirio for strictly racing. Did nothing to it. I left the pullstart there and just throw it on the starter box. At least with a rotostart backplate, you still have the option to start it that way if you kill your starter box. Also one reason I left the pull start on my engine.

I wouldn't worry about replacing your backplate, unless the hole where the pullstart shaft passes through leaks; I used to have a GS B01 that I ran with the pullstart still on it (minus the rope... broke it, so I got a starter box). That engine ran just fine until I replaced it with an Ofna O1 Comp.
