Hey guys took a break from nitro to get into electric and just came across a nice jato and it brought back memories of my old jatos.
Looking to freshen it up and add a few things to it. Does anyone know if I can get 17mm hubs for it? Picked her up for 275.

Welcome back. I found one for jato by hot racing below.

https://www.amainhobbies.com/hot-ra...tension-blue-4-hrajt107w06/p-quawtsqayc2xactz

The one below is for traxxas 2wd. I know back way back when, people put hato shafts on rustlers. So what I'm saying is I'm assuming they will.

http://www.teamstrc.com/index.php?r...ord=17mm&category_id=94&description=1&model=1

The last one I saw was integy. I tend to stay away from them. I never used them, but dont care for "cnc cast aluminum". If requested I can provide a link.

Congrats on the jato. I'm trying to purchase a used one also.

Strc makes a 14mm hex for the stampede. I know its not 17mm, not sure if you can use it. If you do you will need 2 as the come 2f 2r offsets

If the wheels are set up like the Rustler and I'm assuming they are proline makes 17mm adapters you can get for it.

Thanks I've been.looking up parts for the jato. Looks like they discontinued the jato. Back in 2014 I built a nice jato theurecwas parts everywhere. Il just have to look harder. I believe the jato has 12mm hexs

I am trying to purchase one with a .21, so id say go for it. It also depends on your driving style.

Yea I really want it lol. I'm.just waiting to click buy it now but wasn't sure if that would be too much power for jato

Never to much power. Worst case you get constant velocity dog bone center shafts and axles

Got the jato torn down last night and cleaned her up. I love this thing so much I had to buy another one lol. Might use one for show piece and the other as a go to runner
Pics of the stock jato, and the second hopped up one.

Can never have enough RC. There's always some that will catch your eye. And erk you till you get it LOL

I've got a jato roller that I bought off of someone in this forum (dont remember who) thats been sitting in a box in my garage for over 10 years. One of these days I'm gonna get it out and rebuild it as an electric.

Yours is lookin good :)

Honestly, the 2.5R is plenty for the jato, at least it was for me, but I ran mine offroad and whatnot. I ran a 18TM in it for a while, but after cracking a couple crank cases and then they became hard to find, cheaply, I went back to the 2.5R and cracked a couple on it. Then figured why it was happening and sorted out a fix.

I had new era 17mm adapters on mine to run 1/8th buggy wheels/tires on it. Not sure they exist to buy anymore though.

I ultimately converted it to brushless and still beat on it like it owes me money.
