I think the B7.1 is basically the B7 - mostly fixed. But B7.1 is a much more sales friendly name.

The motor mount is horrible. That needs to go.

The motor hangs on - out on a limb - with just it's bottom edge attached to it. The first endo off a jump or solid impact with anything and this is what happens.

What is probably okay in a touring car is just not ok if you introduce jumps into the mix.

This is a much more sensible solution. It doesn't require any further explanation.

Upside down shocks? Like the way they did it in the 80's?

Well I suppose it's one way to ensure you keep some oil in your leaky team associated shocks I suppose. 😝 It works on my Sand Scorcher, so I'm all in!

And the Halls brothers are very, very fast - even if your name is JQ and you don't agree with them. On anything. Ever. 😝🤣 Or anyone else for that matter! 😅

Under what conditions is it ever a good idea introducing greater unsprung mass into the suspension system of any car? 🤔

Would it be wrong to buy a B7.1 and then immediately convert it into a Fast Fox?

Buggy costs virtually pale into insignificance if you total up the stuff you need to be reasonably competitive in 2026. If low cost is what you want - get a 1/12th Mini and run mini masters rules. It's about as good as it gets bang for buck.

Buggy, Motor, ESC, decent high response radio is basically essential, high speed servo, a couple of decent batteries. This is a minimum.

You also need - spare parts. Pit boxes, charger, tools. Hopefully you'll already have this stuff. But if you don't - it's an unavoidable extra cost.

Then there's the upgrades - bearings, titanium turnbuckles, titanium screws. Other cars will have them and be running close to or at the sanctioned minimum racing weight. If you don't have them right now, brace yourself - because you're going to feel that familiar tingling in the wallet soon enough! 😅

Wheels, tyres and inserts. You'll need a couple of sets. These will last you a couple of meetings if you're not too fussy. If you're a team driver, you'll do no more than 3 runs per set before the tyres are relegated to practice only, or sold on.

Remember - resistance is futile.

Just don't forget it's valentine's next Saturday and then Mother's day on the 15th March. 😅

NO WAY!!! Turns out Mrs Certified just got Kyosho parts for Valentine's day!!! 😍🤯

She was JUST saying that she wanted a new set of shocks for the Optima Mid. 🙄🤣

I have JUST enough time to get my order in for Mother's day too! 🤔
2 KC10 Toyota's and a walk in the woods to test on them??? 😍

MY kind of Mother's day! 🤣🤣🤣
