I currently have 1 and a half B6.3 buggies. The first one is a B6.3D I traded an SCX24 for it. It needed some work and it's functional but truth be told it's a bit of a franken buggy.

So I picked up a roller B6.3 (carpet) version on ebay. It's a local car and lots of extras. Swapped over the electronics.

I was left unsupervised last week and bought kit on eBay for a "new" RC10B6.4 kit. It is opened, but unassembled.

And started putting it together this morning.

1st thing I noticed is Bag #8 is missing. :( Reached out the seller and he is checking on it. Bag #8 is the turnbuckles, and totally replaceable, but still a pain.
Next thing is the servo horn that comes with the 160SS is too long.

Putting it together, some of the little screws are really hard to recognize. Are the 10mm or 12 mm. Or even worse is the tiny set screws. My eyes are that calibrated.

Got through Bag 3 today, mostly correct.
  • Still waiting on the correct servo horn and the alum bell crank, so I will get the pull the front end apart again.
  • Also not sure I got the right set screws in the right holes. Will need to double check that.

Things I need to figure out.
  1. Paint scheme. Want something high visibility but not too complex to paint.
  2. The 3025 different settings for the suspension. Starting with the default setup and will work from there.
  3. Shock Oils the default is 35wt front and 30wt rear. Not sure what is good?
  4. Is there anything I'm missing. Don't know what I don't know.
Thoughts on paint? Some ideas from AI.

Guess there are no comments on paint schemes?

Found bag #8. Not sure what happened I pulled everything out twice, but it was there this morning.

Fixed my set screws that were swapped. They look the same till you get them in there and the control arm ones are sticking out.

Starting on bag 4, rear suspension.

These Arm mount inserts are not exactly clear on what they mean. I looked in the back of the manual and it gave some explanation about ° and positions and I tool my best guess. I use the 1 with the ° at the top and pointed them outwards?

Not sure what I'm missing but my arms only have two holes?

Next step is rear arm spacers.

So I'm looking through all the bags for these little donuts and couldn't fine them. So I looked up the part number on Amain and saw they are part of the tree with the arms. DUH! I though they were excess plastic from the molds. Anybody from TA reading this take note, they are not distinct.

Moving along it's starting to look like car. . . Buggy.

With the diff & gearbox installed.

When I was done with the diff assembly I have 4 small silicone rings. They are about the size of the spider gear shaft (Gear Diff Crosspin), but I don't see them anywhere in the instructions. Any ideas what these are for, did I miss something?

The o-rings are a "tuning option" that can go in between the planet gears and shims.
