axial roto start?

got this new axial .32 with a pull start and i wanna make it elec. start any ideas:farting:

If the Axial is SH-based, you should be able to do a direct bolt-up. Do you have an HPI engine handy?

just tore my hpi apart the hex on the shaft(axial) is smaller then the hex on my roto start. inside the block two diffrent beasts altogether

K - the only things that would stop you are a hex that is a different size, the mounting patterns, and the actual depth of the hex vs the pullstart. If those won't fit, it sounds like you might be shot out of the water in regards to rotostarting the axial.

Well, after doing a little legwork, the rotostart plate that fits the K4.6 (HPI's .28) _MIGHT_ fit the Axial. This is according to some descriptions on a few ebay auctions, so you might want to take that with a grain of salt.

If you have a local hobby shop, it might be worth the trip to it to dry-fit a K4.6 pullstart.

No problem - I recently put the rotostart on my F4.1 for ha-has, and I like it on that particular motor more than a pull starter. Otherwise, I'm a pull start person over the roto.
