Axial AXP 8 Gilamon 1/8 scale 2.2 Trail Buggy
Price: $579.99

What are our thoughts? Price seems good. Moon Buggy style chassis looks pretty cool. 2.2s are always nice...comes with a 5 channel receiver!

Unique design for sure, but I personally would have no use for the features. Lock one rear wheel? What I would love to see is the ability to remote lock/unlock the diffs like on the traxxas TRX4. I love being able to unlock the diffs for handling the rig at speed and then locking them when I hit a rock section.

So while it is unique, the features that it offers are useless to me. Not to mention the bad rap of those spektrum mini servos and the shocks were leaking out of the box. I feel like for the price of $579 you would need to put a couple hundred more into it.

Maybe if they offer it as a kit!

It seems as though they had "hardcore comp crawler" in mind when they designed this thing. Definitely different.

Kit would be the tits!

It’s pretty sweet looking and seems like it would be a nice addition to the collection!

I would 100% buy a 1/8 2.2 Optic!
I'm not sure about track width but wheelbase would only need to be stretched an inch or so. Slap some 2.2s on it and call it 1:8...just like Axial!

of course the body would be out of whack and disproportionate...but it could work lol

Doing a test when I could mountain bike I used White Lighting chain lube which is self cleaning for dirt and water. It great for mountain bike chains. Put some on old part to see if it damaged them any ideas ?

it’s a beast it out crawled my other 2. I wish I could send you pic or it. But don’t know how to do it on this very hard site. The 3 others I’am on it’s easy to show.
