Get on the phone or e-Mail to MaxAmps and kick up a stink. They are forever banging on about how they make the best packs EVAH and if that's anything like new it should not have done that.

If it's an old pack that you had laying around then I'd guess it's past it's sell-by date and gave up.

I presume you ran an appropriate LiPo cut-off on your gear and everything?

without a warantee on it i would say it would be a waste of time to get ahold of them and he didnt get it from them either so prolly just be pointless....i would dispose of it really well, bury it or something. yeah Webbage he had it on Autolipo cutoff.

You need to make it inert. Get a five gallon bucket with four gallons of water and a cup of salt. Soak it for a few days. Then fill the same bucket with sand and bury your LiPo in it. Seal it and take it to the dump.

I am not a battery expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night. LOL! Actually I saw a video on LiPo disposal somewhere.

You can always buy the same one, switch it, and take it back and tell them what happened. Or call and say the one you just bought did that.

I say stick a screw driver in it and get that ch!t on video or send it to me and I will do it to it. :hehe::hehe::hehe:

Just a few questions......

What's the MAH of the battery ?
Cell count ?
Charger ?
Balancer ?

Why not just call them & tell the truth, you may be suprised how honesty works!!

If they do nothing, at least you were straight up.

I meant to say if they didnt do anything about it the first time ... sorry to anyone i pissed off!

Before you run another LiPo battery, you need to find out why that battery went bad. I've had about 15 LiPo batteries from maxamps.com and never had one go bad for no reason. I've also bought or located several more for friends, and they always go bad for a reason. I would avoid the LiPo cutoff for future reference, and program it manually.

I would never steal from a company by lieing to them about the warranty.

BUT, if I were you I would email maxamps.com with all your information, what charger you were running, etc.., and I bet they will replace it. I've had two batteries that went bad, one for improper use and one from a friend that was using it improperly on accident, and maxamps replaced them both for free, and neither one of them was under warranty.

thats what everyone says about maxamps so I'm not gonna say they will or they wont for sure but I'm guessing they wont or if they do it will take a really long time, the only time I've personnaly dealt with them wich has been 3 times it took over a week each time just to get a reply by email....but thats just my experience.
