Looking for a new RC and considering these or open to other options. I have recently seen more reviews complaining about the durability of some of the Arrma models so I am sold on them. I am not doing much bashing, mostly running on lawn around the house for the dogs to chase. I currently have a HBX 903a that has been surprisingly resilient and the dogs have loved chasing it through the winter but now with the grass growing and it being about a 1/12 scale it’s having a hard time. It is still getting it but have to keep the momentum up and at times it is kinda floating up on the grass and the dogs can catch up.

I expected this to happen just went cheap to see if the dogs would stay interested and they have.

Open to other model suggestions too would just like to keep the truck cost below $400.00. Already have a Hota S6 charger so looking to go 3s because of the resistance of running on grass. Also looking for battery suggestions looking at safety more so than all out performance.

Thanks for any help!

I own a granite and on 3s it’s dang fun. And I found it’s durable. Had it out at about 20 degrees and at that temp plastic parts snap easily. I beat the heck out of it and it took all the abuse. Let a friend drive it and he ran it into the side of a building at about full throttle and survived. Just my 2 cents but I love that thing, 50 mph brick lol

I think they are both good choices! I have a Big Rock 6S and love it. But I have a granite also. This is a coin flip.

On horizon’s website they have the team associated MT8 on sale for super cheap. It’s 6s and all that so, well yeah I have one arriving today lol. I’ll run home and grab it and do a little bashing at work and let you know tonight. It’s same price as the granite right now.

Big rockbut the traxxas maxx will be better overall for what you're doing. Trust me its worth the extra money over the big rock.
