Hi RC PEOPLE
I'm planning on buying my first Arrma and I'm having some doubts if to go for the new Arrma fireteam or one of the Exb models and make it xl with the Mojave chassis
What will be the best?

I like the look of the Fireteam, some of the guys say the body is pretty heavy but from what I've seen most of the guys are pretty happy with it. It looks like a solid performer. It seems pretty comparable to the Mojave. Are you planning on getting a lot of air time or just ripping around?

I'm not a big cars flyer but definitely hard bashing is my thing
The body is replaceable as I saw on ytube so no problemo there
I'm more thinking about all the upgrades that coming with the Exb and specially the spiral differential
And i think that tomake a kraton exb XL will be cheaper than to make the fireteam Exb not sure though
Didn't finish my research yet
I will dig some more and post it

Sooooo
Done my research and I'm even more confused!
All the prices are including tax and delivery costs to Belgium
Kraton exb roller 499€
Electronics 300€
M2CR Kraton XL kit 600€
Total damage 1400€
#####
Fireteam RTR 769€
Exb parts 340€
M2CR parts 600€
Total damage 1740€
#####
Now the question of the cost is clear
But which one will be more reliable
And more diverse on all terrain? i have no idea
Didn't own any Arrma before
So please dear friends help me with your personal experience to decide
Thanks in advance
Avi

I haven't run a fireteam yet, but I've spent enough time with kratons and mo-javes to know their respective limits.
Open wheels break more a arms for sure. Longer a arms break more, too. Heavier wheels also add to that carnage. But heavier wheels, longer arms, and open wheels all make the rig more fun on big sends. Kratons are stupid fun on any kind of jump, and as long as you land on the wheels, they'll survive monster airs in questionable terrain. Flips are just plain cool, and kratons excel at big flips. But tomahawks get real destructive real fast.
Mo-javes take incredible amounts of abuse without snapping, but they don't really do tricks in the air. When you tomahawk a mo-jave, the body ends up protecting the arms quite a bit. And the lighter tires tend to not break arms or shocks as often.
I'd push you to start with the mo-jave, and then go kraton once you're used to the weight class/size and want to start sending it.

Side note- a mo-jave with street tires and a big block motor is an absolute blast to run on pavement. Kraton, not so much...

Ooookay I'm getting there !
Fireteam(770€) with essential Exb upgrades
(Ar330659-30€
Ar320565-20€
Ar320568-25€
Ar320468-32€
Ar320469-25€
Ar330229-10€
Ar330378-11€) from my local hobby(power to the people) shop will be less painful on tax and delivery costs meaning more budget for upgrades and batteries
Or
Mojave exb roller (620€)
Electronics (300€)
And then spicing it with kraton arms
(Ar310458-40€
Ar330656-20€
Ar330505-12€
Ar310459-30€
Ar330654-20€
Ar330404-12€)
And now the question that left me wondering on ytube is
spiral differential or v5 differential?
