Its a Armma Infraction with a hobbywing Max 6 esc and a ezrun 4985 motor 6s 5200mah 100c Zeee battery. Up untill last week I had no problems with my truck. I'm guessing that it was a lot cooler and now its getting hot during the day. My main problem is my hours at work got cut down from 40hrs week to 25 maybe 30 if I'm lucky. If I had the money I would just go out and buy the XLX2 castle combo set and I would not have to go thru it cutting off after a few minutes of use. Does anyone know if I where to add a couple of fans maybe that would cool off my motor and run longer? Maybe another fan on the Max 6 too. If anyone out there knows how I could get the motor and esc to run cooler that would be greatly appreciated. I'm not to savvy with electric rcs I mostly run nitro. Thanks....

Fans made a big difference on my Mojave, they should help drop the temps a bit. It also helps to run earlier in the morning if you can.

fans will only do very little in cal. heat. either gear down a few teeth in pinion or go to less cell count. no way to avoid or decrease heat when air temps are high to start.

I agree, fans will help to a small degree but really it sounds like you need to gear it down. Is it cutting off because of thermal issues or is it shutting off because of something else? LVC kicking in? battery connectors having an issue? What temps are you experiencing on your ESC and motor?

Will try again tomorrow I will have more info Thanks...

The max6 stock fan is a bit anemic. I replaced mine with surpass 35mm alloy framed fans on both of my max6's. Requires a little bit of dremel work on the inside of the housing, but they push a lot more air. I go with these since I tend to break the stock fans when jumping. Obviously, probably less of an issue on the infraction. I run my BEC at 7.2V as well, which bumps up the fans RPM's.

I got the fan via aliexpress, so had to wait a while. I mentioned it to whomever runs surpasshobbyusa and they started stocking them so they can be purchased more quickly:

Awsome this is exactly the info I was looking for. Thanks so much this will dfefionetly work. Have a great day and thanks again.....

Well I'm glad I hit a good topic. Because I just want to try and keep motors and esc's is cool as possible. I understand we all run in different temperatures and different environments. And I actually don't know what these motors should be cutting at off at. I mean my son and I run these things pretty hard and his Senton never has a problems. He will burn through batteries left and right and never has a problem jumping little jumps on me we're not out doing crazy ridiculous stunts but he is blasting up and down the roads in the fields and wherever we go with it. The notorious that I bought after beating on that for a while yeah the motor feels pretty warm that's why I'd like to try and keep it as cool as possible. I keeps on spinning the axles on the sentence as hard as it's ridden. 1 minute you'll be flying down the road the next minute the wheel is going past you.
