Splitter Is it safe to use? I want to have as little wires as possible for my new charger.

Personally, I would buy individual connectors, or solder up your own. Those things are notorious for having bad connections, and it's just a rats nest of wires to have to deal with.

I dont have anything against those types of connectors but WF is right that one is ridiculous with all the wires coming off of it. If thats the route you want to go Id just find one that has like 6-8 connectors on it. Half the connectors on that adpater youd probably never even use.

Either way you go though. just be aware of the fact that if you have connectors with exposed ends on them, make sure they dont short out on anything. For example if you're charging a battery with an EC5 connector then all of the other connectors are getting power to them also so connectors like Traxxas, Deans, Glow ignitor, etc have exposed ends and if they touch anything metal they will short out doing who knows what to your lipo and charger.

They have covers that slide over them, I mainly need TRX, JST connectors, EC5 and Deans.

I have a squid like that but I rarely ever use it .it is in my charge box so that people can charge what they need .but I have individual charge leads for my needs

The squids are for charging one battery at a time, charging boards don’t look that safe.
They are perfectly safe if you follow the same precautions you would for individual packs. I used them for years. You just need a fairly robust charging setup that can pump out the amps needed. At one point I was charging 30+ packs a week to playtime on the weekends. I'd have never gotten anywhere doing one pack at a time. But, to each their own.

I have a couple of the boards but I'm not hard core enough to ever really utilize them. They saw some use back 10-12 years ago when I was charging multiple 6S packs on my PL6 but I prolly dont run more than half a dozen packs a week anymore on an average week.

If you can solder I would say just solder up your own leads or connectors.. its not safe to have all those extra non used ends... to make your own between the ends and wire. It would be that expensive. You could get that and make you own out of that... would just need banana plugs and some wire...

I have amassed a collection of the various connectors over the years, so I always just solder up my own too. It is actually my favorite soldering work making up cables.

Yeah I like soldering my self also👍👍

Ouch! That's gotta hurt!
No, I don't solder my self. I solder on the cables 🤣😝😜

Sorry lol. @Xraycer and @Doom! are rubbing off on me. I couldn't resist 😉
I suppose I could blame my late father in law for rubbing his plethora of corny old guy jokes onto me 😁

If they have covers then they are perfectly fine to use. For what you pay for a couple of them though you could buy some wires, and some connectors of your choosing and make all the connectors you want. If you dont want to make them then go for the squids.
