I've added a fair amount of weight to my Ecto and really loving the way it handles. Have added some weight but not a lot. Thought about trying the optional gearing for more overdrive and can't help but wonder how well these plastic gears hold up. A little unsure if running 3s brushless with added weight might be more than a plastic gear can handle over time. I'd rather do it now than have a plastic gear break when I'm out crawling.
 
My son's ecto is full on billet axles and all the brass. No issues at all with the plastic gears to date and he is pretty hard on it.
Thats good to hear. I'll install the 11% OD option that came with the truck.
