AOpen Cobra AW850 sound card

is this sound card good to use for my Logitech Z-640 5.1 speaker system? the only reason I'm asking is because i don't want to buy a POS that gives static and all types of crap. does anybody know about these sound cards are they ok for just listening to music w/ the sound system above? i found it for soo cheap thats why I'm questionable of its quality? some please LMK QUICK!!

I know my fair share of computer things. Sadly, sound cards and speakers aren't really one of my areas of interest.

I did use an AOpen card and I wasn't too please with it. I personally liked the cards made by Creative. They made the original SoundBlaster and have a long history. Most of the problems I've had with sound cards have been related to drivers and software. Generally speaking, once you get the sound card working, the sound quality has more to do with the speakers than the hardware.

Personally, I'd go with a better name for the sound card. Unless there is something about AOpen that I don't know. (possible)

the i will just have to save up and get the 5.1 creative labs one. they are soo good repped i was trying to get off with something cheap. but i want some good stuff so ill wait i will be worth in the long run unless some one has something good to say about them.

go to www.pricewatch.com i dont buy anything computer related without checking them out first..... there i found a soundblaster live 5.1 for $15 + 5 shipping ....i think it would be a far supperier card and all the card most people really need ...heres the link to the card i have found
