Anyway to extend these motor wires to reach the ESC? Just got my hobbywing system in.

Perhaps. Can you solder? Without seeing an overall image of what you need to do, it is difficult to assess. Maybe relocate the ESC? Is that a workable option? 'AC'Would these work? These are 150mm long which is 5 inches. I only need an inch or so. https://www.amainhobbies.com/hobbywing-axe-foc-r2-extended-wire-set-150mm-
Which HW ESC is it? The manual for it will tell you what size bullets it takes.Anyway to extend these motor wires to reach the ESC? Just got my hobbywing system in. View attachment 153904
According to the manual, found here: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0...0-SCT_MAX10_20160606.pdf?10325440967152689469 they are 4.0MM bullet connectors. My uncle is seeing what he has and if he can make me something. He has the most experience with soldering and he has a lot of left over connectors from racing. HW Max10 sct
With relocating the ESC there is not really much else where to put it on the LCG chassis. With my rustler the ESC goes over the back half of the battery tray and is right near the rear shock tower. For my slash it mounts to the side of the chassis so I'm just needing like 1/2 an inch to an inch of extra wire to get it connected.
I also was surprised it came with a mount plate for it. I ordered the RPM SW 3 ESC cage just in case. So since I won't be needing that cage I'm just going to keep it for a future project.
It wouldn't make any difference. The wires go through the center of the shock tower. Unless he routed them around the side of the shock tower, but then they might get caught on something, or interfere with the shocks.why not swap the positions of the receiverbox and the ESC? With ESC on the other side of the chassis, the wires will be long enough.
I have done this before by drilling a small hole in the shock tower, putting a small zip tie around the motor wires to hold them together and then another zip tie through the hole in the shock tower and the other zip tie.It wouldn't make any difference. I would not use those. Those are not the right type of connector. Those banana plugs are for lower current draws than a regular bullet connector. If you wanna take a chance on burning up your motor and/or ESC then go for it. Just make sure you get it on video if it lets out the magic blue smoke. Its like a science experiment. Something might end up in flames or not.
