Since it sounds like you want an RTR and you've been in the hobby before, I'm sure you know to get the best of the best, you need to buy it in component level....
but for an RTR, like Ratzo mentioned, the PCR (paul coleman edition) is a good option....at a reasonable price.. and if his new model comes with any of the options that he's running at the worlds it should be a good set-up.. the only issue with the prior models was,, the parts he ran in competition weren't the option parts that came with the name on the kit... *grin*..
the sportwerks mayhem has impressed me with it's little attention to details that stand out over other buggies for maintenaince and parts reinforcement. (& I drive a mugen x-5, with 4 other guys who drive kyosho K-2's & K-3's). this car has small attention to parts construction that makes maintaining the car alot less frequent than other 1/8th buggies... and Losi Jr. had a large hand in its design....
Also the PRP Swift is an option, that car had issues when it was first introduced, but I know the guys at the factory hand assemble the cars now which aleviate the prior production issues and wear... and with an almost direct connection to the company through this forum, it has customer support that far outdoes itself compared to any other company... plus the radio and motor that come with it are superior to other RTR kits...
That's all I have first-hand experience with at our local track though. The others I can give an opinion, but that's all it'd be...
oh if you are, or get interested in the PRP Swift, I could probably hook you up with the company also, it helps they're about 15 minutes away from the house.. *grin* or if the Horizon Mayhem looks to be something you'd like, I know a shop owner that put one together and has only run it once, and hasn't had time to use it again,, so he might be into selling it..
Hope this helps you out a little in your decision.
Lates!!
