Hello all, as the title says, is anyone using the injora ir60 body on the ascent 18? Lately I've been really liking cab only bodies and I can't seem to find one . I want to have the shocks and basically the whole back half of the truck exposed as I really like that look. I just saw that imjora makes an adapter to use for their ir40 bodies but I'd really prefer the ir60 and it doesn't say that it'll work on that body.

Another question is, if I use the ir60.body, can I use the back half of the truck with just the cage and no paneling ?

Thanks in advance.

Without having them in front of me, I think it may be a bit narrow. I can check when I get home tonight.

Hello all, trying to circle back on this topic, if the ir60 might not fit, is there a body (just the cab) that I can fit into the ascent 18? I've been looking online and I can't seem to find anything 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Crap, I was supposed to look and see if the chassis measurements were close. Writing myself a note right now.
Thank you! Injora says the ir60 and 40 are for the trx4m and they just make an adapter for the ascent but only foe the ir40 🤦🏽‍♂️

Ok, to answer one of your questions. It looks like you can run the back without panels, they just screw on to the cage, so no problem getting the look your after. It's really hard to see how the body actually mounts so I'm not sure how that is done. Have you watched this vid? Not much help. Don't know if the length of the chasis will line up with the attachment points. This is one of these times a 3d printer would probably be helpful.

Thank you, I watch it a few times already 🤣🤦🏽‍♂️. I cut the body up, epoxied the tailgate, and recycled 2 of the stock links and came up with this until I can figure this out lol

The IR60 body comes in 1/24 and 1/18 scales. I am running the 1/18 scale body on my Ascent 18. The kit comes with two grills to choose from, and you will have to buy/fabricate the A18 mount. I ordered mine from eBay. I will get a few pics up as soon as things calm down here at work.

Thank you!! When

This looks epic! When you can, no rush, can you post the ebay link for the adapters?
Thanks!

Thank you, I appreciate it!

I was wrong, my kit came from Rc Chop Shop. Sorry for the confusion.

I will link the body, as well. Just make sure you get the one that says 1/18 scale in the description.

One other thing to watch for. I had my 18 set up with the front shocks mounted as far toward the center as possible. It put some upwards pressure on the body. One of the first tumbles it took, it broke one of the 3 mounting slots on the grill. I relocated the shocks and built the front end up with some JB Quick Weld into what almost looks like a bumper on the front. You can kind of see it in the second pic that I posted. I can post a different pic if you want.

Looking forward to seeing yours!
