Anyone using the injora ir60 body on the ascent 18???

Is it sitting to high, or just won't line up?
It just doesn't click at all, almost like the front of the truck prevents the locking mechanism to not go down far enough to be secured. I believe the truck doesn't line up that well as I saw a few videos on YouTube of the truck looking the same but maybe is because I'm used to how the trimmed body looked like.

Could you make a little extension out of plastic between the chassis and the latch receiver?
Sorry for tge bad sketch but hopefully it makes sense. This would give you more clearance for the latch to engage properly.

Thank you! Just to confirm, the factory bumper and assembly needs to be completely removed and the injora adapter used?

Thanks.

Yes, you will have to remove the factory bumper.

I used an injora IR40 front body mount and had to remove part of the lower grill to get it to lock in.

Happen to have any pics? That's what i thought i had to do but can I order the mount alone ? I really want to make this body work but I'm really close to returning it! Lol

It can certainly be frustrating! Let me get a cup of coffee in me and I will get some pics up.

I didn't take a pic of the grill (the grill with bigger lights) before removing material so I pulled one off Amazon.

I will have the truck with me at work today, give a shout if I can help at all.

This is awesome! And you left the original latch that came with the ir60? I was about to just glue magnets in the front but then I'll be messing with the chassis which I didn't want to do. I will probably try this!

Yes, I used the latch that came with the body.

Long story, but I will try to give the cliff notes version. I got my first IR60 body and didn't realize that I had bought the 1:24 scale. I sure scratched my head for a while wondering how in the hell I was gonna get that mounted to my A18. I finally went back and did some more reading and comparing and realized that there are two different sizes to the IR60. HA!

Edit to add: I used the 3 slot mount initially, and broke one tab. Even after fixing it, I really didn't care for how it latched. That is what led me to pick up the IR40 body mount kit (it is aluminum) and the TRX4M latch. I am much happier with the current setup.
