Well, I have a tekin 8.0Kv brushless system that came in a mini LST that I got off a friend. I don't have a need for the kind of power/speed that it puts out and I've swapped back to "normal" motors. Well, one normal motor at the moment...

Regardless, anyone know what it's worth?

It's this: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKYP0&P=ML

Kind of pricey when it's new...

Depending on what kind of shape it is in, I would probably pay $85 to $100 for it. The best way I have found to determine the prices is to hit ebay and see if anyone is selling them used. It is a great setup so I would imagine it will still fetch a decent price. Just my opinion of course! Good luck my friend.

It pretty much looks new. The guy I got it from ran one pack through it. He did all the upgrades and stuff during the winter and ran it indoors once just to make sure it worked. I ran 5... in a parking lot.

100.00 is about right. Seems to be what all the Mini systems used are going for.

IMO keep the ESC and get a 6.5. I'm running the the 6.5 and it has plenty of controllable power. Your other option is to loose a cell and run on a 5 pack.

Keeping ESC and going with a smaller motor is a great idea. The Tekin setup is really nice. I also run the 6.5 in my 18T and it runs great.

I would again agree with the $100 sale price. As far as run times go, I get about 20 minutes off a 1400 mah NiMh pack with a Mamba sport setup i(6800 kv) in both my RC18t and 18r.
