Anyone else see this Rovan E LT 1/5 scale 4WD short course truck (8s capable)? Looks super legit after watching Thunder RCs YouTube vid. I’m super into SCT, TT and rally cars so this is right up my alley. I think I have found my next purchase!

Is that odd shaped box marked LiPo actually the battery? Nice looking rig, let us know when it shows up ;) :p

That looks like 2 batteries go in there.

Looks good. I didn’t know they had an E version ready to go, usually it’s a conversion kit that’s bookoo bucks. If Thunder is showing it off it must be decent, hopefully he wasn’t sending it off the “death ramp”?
I was trying to start mine the other day and I’m pretty sure I flooded it, I was thinking…..if this was electric I’d be driving already.
Those tires look great for on-road, keep it nice n clean!

Big rig, alright. Curious, Rovan seems to have front-loaded all the weight. Haven't seen the vid, but does this adversely affect handling? Would tend to keep it nose down and minimize air getting in under the body while jumping. Not sure I'd do big air with this a big rig. Some certainly will.

Staggering the battery install is novel. Again, placing more weight forward. Perhaps Rovan has seen my push-through-the-corner understeer driving style?? :D All my RCs have a push. At least buying this, it's a built-in feature? Not knocking it, it's just curious with so many neutral 50/50 mid engine/motor combos around.

The roll cage assembly appears part of the body and not attached to the chassis? Right? Or are these just promotional images?

Overall, good seeing big scale interest in SCT. Two thumbs up, Rovan. :thumbs-up: :thumbs-up: -AC

I have seen videos on the gas version, the roll cage has the body panels attached to it with screws, so yes it is one piece.
I have the 30degree north version, which both appear to be losi 5T clones. Mine is very nose heavy on jumps, I have been trying to tune that out.
Thunder RC jumps his trucks a lot I think.

Thunder has a few videos of an XLT450, which is just a wider Losi 5t clone getting hammered on. Electric conversion, Taylor 40gt, etc. It seems to take it all. Can’t imagine this is any different in terms of durability. If anything, probably better with the absence of aluminum arms, full body coverage and less leverage in the arms.

Tires are costly!
Maybe I'll use the Focus to tow this around after all. 🤔🤣
These things are cool but so big... I just don't know where I'd run it! ☹️
I have lots of big old trees in my yard. I don't want to smash into one and kill it! 🤣
