Dad brought some home the other day, but I'm kinda picky about sticking to Traxxas fuel with my Maxx. Anybody used or recommend this fuel? Also, what other types of fuel are you guys running that you'd recommend? Thanks in advance :)

I've run the Sidewinder Kool Power 20% in my Revo with good results. They say that it's a heli fuel but it works fine in the TRX 3.3.

When I was running a 2.5 I used Blue Thunder. Since I was tuning all the Traxxas engines at the track, I started to notice they were outrunning me. The only difference was the fuel.
I switched to the Traxxas fuel and the engine really ran great after a re-tune.

Thanks guys. I'll probably end up sticking with the traxxas fuel. Hopefully the S&W slows down my dads picco so I can keep up with him :p: haha.

When people asked me how I tuned the Traxxas engines, I would tell them, "Just a little slower than mine."
As I learned the hard way, Traxxas engines really love Traxxas fuel.

No Son, it'll take more than the Traxxas fuel to put the hurt on DaddyO's T~MAXX... :first_place:
"without hope there would be no need for a strategy"

The traxxas motors were designed around their fuel, they have a very very high oil content. Plus, the blue dye was placed in there to color the piston and sleeve, so they can tell if you arent using their fuel for warranty repairs.s
