I am trying to install phpBB on one of my websites. during the install it is saying I can not connect to the database. I am not sure I am putting all the proper install data.

Thanks

msly,

If you need anything else just let me know, I've used many different message boards and phpBB is one of them.

slothy,

I'd do a lot more reseach about Invision Board before using it for serious purpose. RCNT once considered converting however I found the Invision is no stranger to security holes. Being a newer company compared to the others this doesn't surprise me. If it was me I'd say go with phpBB for free and vBulletin for paid (you get SO MUCH MORE with vbulletin!)

ya I've set some for bike clubs my rc club.. just stuck to invision since the board i use alot for flash shuff has been running it for awhile with no probs that I've seen.. ya vb seems solid

So far I am totally happy with PHPBB. It setup very easy and has alot of features. The Forum I am setting up will only have about 34 members of a Club. I was just doing something stupid on the setup. I am now starting to get into the customization of the style. I want to put my own logo etc.
