My central air conditioner broke a couple months ago (condenser fan motor). Not a big deal because I have a window unit, but now its starting to get cold. Can I run the central heat even though the fan outside is broken?? The furnace should be ok right?

Have you pressed the reset button on the unit you have? I took a class though I had to drop it mid ways due to my job so, no I am not certified but know some things about heatpumps and such?
If you feel around the bottom of your outside unit that will be sitting on the ground, there should be a reset button under it. Most of the time it is where the condenser and evaporator lines run into it.

wow that's nuts, I had no idea there was a reset button...ima give that a shot when i get home. Thanks bro!
