Anybody have knowlaedge on Buick T-Type/grandnational/GN/GNX?

Well i just recently got a 1986 Buick T-Type (pretty sweet car) and was wondering if any of you guys know if the grand national parts are interchangable? Mainly performance engine parts and body panels.

Most of the parts will work, the main differance it the Grand national is a turbo charged car and a couple other interior motor parts. Parts off a Buick Regal will also work on you car . You can probally do a search and find many other GM cars that will interchange. I think what your looking for is a cross reference chart it will tell you what cars and years that will interchange with your buick.

just so you know the T-Type also has a turbocharged engine which is what the T is for its a 3.8 turbo.

Ahh I see lol everything should be interchangable even a chevy Monza has the same engine your car has exception for the turbo

The Buick T-type is the "sleeper" version of the Grand National. Only difference is the Interior and the gearing in the rear. Also, I can't remember off the top of my head, check the rear if it's an open or limited slip. One thing about the turbos ... check the manifold for cracks/leaks. They are notorious for this car.

I'm really dating myself here but, that was the car I wanted in High school. I'd love to get one if I could.

I've got a friend in GA that I used to work with that has a Grand National and a T-Type. I believe a majority of the parts are interchangeable or at least from listening to him talk. I'd ask him but he's deployed.

yea thats what I'm thinking and I'm pretty sure the regal is interchangeable to cause the t-type is a turbo regal. Ill prob be quitin Rcin for a while though to fund the restoration of this great car. If anyone knows some nice performancesites to buy stuff for the GN/t-type or any sites like year one that would have stuff for this feel free to drop the links in here!
