how much was shipping from hobbyking? did you look? to send stuff from hk to australia its like 10$ snail mail or 30$ express, up to 80$ express for 8kg or something. couldnt be that much more expensive to canada

USPS, UPS, or any other courier will not ship lipo batteries across the American/Canadian boarder anymore. I'm sure rules for distributors are different, but there is no Canadian distributor for gensacearespammers, Turnigy or any of those budget batteries. SMC has a Canadian distributor and they're the only budget brand that does that I know, if anybody knows of others I'm all ears cause I enjoy saving money but for now SMC has proven to be good and reliable. They I.R. Test every battery they ship and I remember the 4s 6500mah packs didn't do to well a little while ago, they offered them at a huge discount or the people who ordered them in Canada could wait for the next batch. What I remember them doing was sending 7500mah packs as a sorry for making you wait kind of deal. That's a pretty good customer service move if you ask me.

I'm not a 100% sure if Hobby King Hong Kong will ship to Canada, if they do I'm sure it's going to be a pretty penny. I've read that customer service with the Asian companies is pretty non existent, I would be pretty pissed if I got burned on a couple hundred dollars worth of batteries (what my next order is probably going to run me) and there was nothing I could do or no one to contact.

I think I'm going to take a look at these spc packs.

Did you look at factory spec or race spec? http://www.smc-racing.net/index.php?route=product/product&path=67_97&product_id=118
They are on back order but will come in stock again, when you start going to higher rates and mah values they can get that high. But 50c 5000 mah packs are still in the $30-$40 price range.

I don't know what battery you're looking at but some are $60
And the highest 2s is $70

Just wanted to add i've spoken to danny from smc several times. Still waiting for the battery I want to be in stock. but have heard nothing but good and decent things about his battery packs. Most locals here run Thunder power, but at 100 a battery my next 2 batteries are going to be smc's

After a month the cooling fans started to sequel contacted the company for warranty they responded quickly but they thought i wanted to buy. Once they realized i needed warranty i never heard back from them again... 4 emails later and still nothing
