Hey, was just wondering if any of you people skate board. I do. Started about 3 years back. Built a 4 foot half pipe in my front yard and took it from there. I regret selling it now...errr. Now i just hang out at the ksate park and hope they'll put in a half pipe soon

I used to skate, gave it up when I got older, and didn't have time to do it anymore. I know humboltblazer also sakted, I think he was a sponsered am.

use to back in HS... the last few yrs I've been back into BMX on the vert/street and 1/4's bowles.

Its funny cuz I take my little brother so to say. with me all the time. he is 16. I'm 29. Everyone tells me I'm still a kid.lol.

I say ya only Live once and I'm not gona act old. I own my own home, 4nice cars. have hobbies and Love it.

i skate, i kinda took the summer off though....been skatin' for about 41/2 yrs. now just having fun hangin' with the skate buds...I'm actually going skating tonight for the first time in a few months should be fun...

Tru dat, in my former life I was a skater. I did if for a little more than 7 years. A lot of fun for sure. Now as I get older parts like elbows don't bend so good sometimes, but other than the piece of floating bone in knee cap I am the better for it. I never fall down anymore. It's funny after skating for so many years you learn how to recover your balance so good. Because I am left handed and naturally amidextrious (sp?) It made switch stance a breeze for me. So almost any trick I could do regular, I could also do switch stance.

Oh yeah I hear you on the bones already. Every night I go to bed acheing wether I skate or not...I havent had a doctors appointment in seriously 10 or 12 years maybe thats why besides the many many many trips to the ER

Sup guys,

I'm almost 25 now. From 8-16 I was a hardcore SK8R. I was far from anything pro but I more then held my own amongst real boarders of all ages. I haven't been on a skatboard in way to long but now-a-days I love high desert snowboarding when I have the opportunity.

My bad didnt have the J/K thing up there lol, u prollt took that the wrong way. Hard core. hmmmm Shove-it to Melon across 2 hiped quarter pipes. Then theres CRAZY hard core it invlolves the same trick except with kiddies buzzing crazilly all around u while ur trying to stick something. Note..I'm not pro and dont claim to be, lol but thats pretty intense for a 16 year olf thats been skating for 3 years relaly only 2 years of really trying hard, lol

NO worries bro, I just don't want you to get your panties in a bunch with your modern precieved definition of hardcore. When we where kids we where hardcore by ANY definition today. I'd get back into skating to some extent but I literally can't afford to be breaking bones every day. Also, my balance isn't what it use to be from many inner ear infections. I had a custom halfpipe from 10-18 but didn't use it much the last two years I had it. We did plenty of "crazy" poop but nothing that could have got us killed (well, uuuhh yeah we did some chit that could have killed us or worse paralyzed us). Their's a cleary defined difference between hardcore and straigt up stupid..lol.

Having a your own half pipe is a joy by itself. I built my own 9th grade year. I wanted to go bigge rbut do to budget i just went 32 foot long, 12 foot wide, and 4 foot high. I'll regret seling it the rest of my life or atleast till i build a 6 or 8 foot pipe!

just skated last night it was fun....it was a late night session after hours at a park a couple cities from where i live....its a cool spot...it was my first time skating in a few months...ne way i was being a pusie for a little while and then i started to get the feel back and it was fun.....till the cops came and herassed us....it sucks because its like a "white" city (no offence to ne one) and I'm from a "minority" city....so they hassled us...whatever wasn't the first time pigs messed with us....it sucks being a "hispanic" skater....but hella awesome being a skater....I'm back in the game i love, i should be skating as much as i mess with my rc car now!!!

When I was skating we were "newschool", and the guys with the flatnosed boards and big wheels were called old school, so what are you guys now?

those flat-nosed boards are still around and the bowl and trasition skaters are still considered old skool....it really made a big comeback after the Dogtown and Z boys doc. came out....

Good to know that Poser is still a term for the guy with all the "skate" clothes, and new board where you can still see the graphics on the bottom, and wheels that look like he carries his board more than rides it. LMAO! You guys make me want to hurt myself all over again.
