I bought an scx10.3 and bought a painted the clear body. My body post have always been hard to get the pins in, but now the body post won't go through the body at all. Any ideas how to extend the body post or what I should do.

Can you post a pic of the posts? Are they adjustable? I'm not familiar with the scx10 platform so I'm not really sure. If their not adjustable, then it sounds like replacement is in order.

They are in all the way they will adjust. They are not long enough to reach the body. I've already ordered the stock set and they didn't reach.

I can't find the extended body post

Years ago we used 1/4" nylon bolts with flange nuts. Bolink sold them as kits, predrilled.
You drill a hole in the head, mount it to the chassis facing thread up using a screw.
Then screw a flanged screw down on the stud to set body height.
Shoot a couple cross holes for the body pins and TADA!!! Adjustable body mounts! 👍

Kits are out there too though mine here are long discontinued.

I hear you had to ride your dinosaur to the hobby shop to get these.

These were actually body posts for RC rocks. You saw the Flintstone's right? 🤣
It was called a Rubble Shop back then. 😉
