Got this one today. I don't even have an Ebay account! It even had the ebay logo at the top. Looks like ebay when you open the link, but....

Doesn't go to a secure page when you hit ID verify.
Everything else will go to the ebay page except that.
The e-mail listed 7 different people it was sent to besides me.
You can't copy the link and paste it. Here it is after I click on it in the e-mail. http://217.160.171.211/.secure/ebay.com/

Go to your e-bay account by typing the URL in your address bar. If their is any issues with your account, they will have it listed under My Ebay.

I got a letter the other day saying someone was using my account to bid on high dollar items and not paying. The first thing I thought was it was a "Fishing" e-mail.

I went to my e-bay account using my normal method and the e-mail was for real. When I logged in, there was a message for me to contact their fraud department. The issue was easily taken care of OVER THE PHONE.

There is a contact area on E-Bay's site to report these schemes. I suggest you forward it to them at their fraud link.

I get stuff like that all the time. What I do is log into my ebay account and see if its there...if not I ignore it.

I sent it to the "spoof" dept. at ebay. I got one like it from pay pal right after I posted this. I don't have an account with them either.

poop like that really pisses me off. You know there are some people that are gullible (sp?) enough that give their info out. I can see some sweet old woman putting in all their credit card info. Then some scumbag cleaning them out.

They ought to hunt them down! Tie them up, take the credit cards they used, light them on fire and let the hot plastic drip down on their little tiny nuts!!!!

Think that is a little easy, maybe? :hammer:

Tip: Ebay will NEVER write "Dear Ebay member" but instead use you full name as on the account

If the guy sending you that email can't even spell and use a more profesional format chances are it's a fake.
