Pit bikes DO fall under CPSIA law. All products for kids under age of 12 years. Bikes with wheels under 24''. Bikes and parts. You can't pretend they are for adults, unfortunately. Aslo affected kids..dirt bikes, electric trials bikes, ATV's, clothing, helmets. This law had good intentions to regulate lead in kids toys, but as usuaul the Government got carried away and created a monster.

Start shouting, make sure you sign any petitions, bug your Government.

They outlawed motorcycles with wheels under 24" cause of lead poisoning??!?!?!?! WTF!

Sign the petition!

You have got to be freaking kidding me! That's just plain ridiculous! Would that mean no more go carts and ATVs either?

Probably go karts too.

kinda on the same page but i heard, prolly wrong, but that all motorcycles are gonna have to use license plates, not just tags...

electric trials bikes
Okay, these things have lead and what the hell are they or look like?

This is a screwed up.

Hey here's a logical thing to do, Stop trade with China and make it american! Yeah, then the lead thing will most likely go away.

OK, I can KIND OF understand the need to protect younger riders, but this is just another example of political correctness gone wrong. When is this abuse of power going to end???

I'm pretty sure my kid doesn't lick or eat his dirt bike...

No sh!t, this is freaking bu!! sh!T!!!!!, But you know there is always that one kid, like some one we all know on this site, that probably did and thats what screwed them up, LOL!!!!!:D:hehe::p:

I have NO idea to whom you are referring, Curtis!

Speaking of faart--he is back from his vacation and was logged on today at 1600 but hasn't posted (that I have noticed). Think he's learned his lesson?

I really dont think this will stick. The CRF50 is one of the highest selling bikes on the market.

So electric trials bikes are out? How about Power Wheels too? They both have lead acid batteries in them. Why not even go so far as to outlaw ANYTHING with batteries anymore? Something tells me this whole ordeal stems from 1 or 2 head congressmen that had a bad childhood and didn't get a Power Wheel one year for Christmas.
