Just reporting in...

We got serious wind and heavy rain up here in C. FL...

We got a tree down and some water in the front of the house from a leaking window, but all in all, not nearly as bad as last year's trifecta (three hurricanes in six weeks! One with the eye right over us!)

My parents live in a high rise condo in Aventura (North Dade County) and I haven't heard from them yet.

NCNitro and Plaid, how'd you make out? Check in brothers!

I was just looking at the loop that NC posted. The eye passed just under the lake and looks like its headed out to sea.

I hope everyone is doing fine. Some how SF looks real good this time of year.

I to echo the sentiment of concern. Good luck down there guys I hope all is well. Mother Nature definitely lets you know who's boss unfortunately. Be safe guys.

Tom

Wilma

Well, it's pretty much passed us by here in East Central Fl. Tons of rain and high winds, but no damage suffered here. Best of luck to those further south though.

Got a pretty good ass kicking here in Highlands county, but fortunately no where near as bad as last years threesome. Power went on and off a few times but was not out for very long at all, I guess all the new poop they put up last year held up. No damage to the house, just a few tore up plants and trees.

I felt much better this year having a new hurricane code garage door, last year the door was a major weak spot on my house. So I spent all day sat boarding up and all today unboarding, and cleaning up.

Funny thing is 12 hours ago we were getting smacked pretty good, now the sun is out, theres still a nice breeze, and it's in the low 60s. I'm getting ready to throw some burgers on the grill, and throw down a few cold ones right now.

Good to hear your OK NC, hopefully everyone else down there is doing well.

i just talked to my mom who lives over in FT myers.. she said all the screens are off near the pool and a tree in the back yard got split into 4 pieces somehow!!

Good to hear you fared as well NC...

Any word from Plaid?

I heard from the parents and their condo in N. Dade (Aventura area) got whacked pretty good. Their direct unit is OK but several others have blown out windows, no power, downed trees (preventing leaving the building by car) and boat damage (they live on the intracoastal waterway on the 23rd floor!)...

Ft Laud got hit really hard, I hope Plaid is ok. I am pretty sure he has no power at the moment, hopefully he will let us know how he made out as soon as he can.

Not to compare Wilma in florida to Wilma in ny, but that bitch is coming up the coast, and I have no roof at the present time.
I hope we wrapped those tarps tight enough.
50-70 MPH winds are here and 3-4 inches of rain as well.

Glad to see you guys are ok.
Keep your fingers crossed for me..

we covered our skylights in the hallway today so we dont have to worry about them leaking!! lol...

Damn! Forgot about your roof Ratzo...

Hope it fares better than my mother in laws did this morning. She got a free Wilma skylight down in Davie (just outside Ft. Lauderdale)

Plaid! Check in buddy!

House held up well.
I feel bad that I was worried when you guys got the worst of it.
Just having no roof with a big storm is unsettling.
I hope everyone in Florida is ok.

I have some issues but nothing that will end existence....just alot of window repair......the hurricane glass held (except the one in back), it's the hinges and hardware that were getting real bent up.......
