Well, I am 91 posts into my stay on this forum and I may just be ranting my way right into a warning or banishment. However, I can't take it anymore! I have but a small request: "PLEASE FOR THE SANITY OF EVERYONE THAT RESPECTS THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE", use the "advanced" function to post threads if you can't type or write "on the fly" very well. I am begging you. More times than not it appears to be the younger generation that is guilty of this. Being 12 to 17 years old is not an excuse to appear an idiot...It "ain't" cool....It is just sad! It is sad that you don't have enough respect for yourself, or the people you are communicating with, to take the time to present your question or statement in a clear concise manner....
I spend a decent amount of time on internet forums due to my other interests...I am a regular on many hunting and fishing boards...These are much like this forum in that there are many different types of folks that share ideas and talk shop. Without out a doubt, if there were posts like we see on this board, the individual responsible would get ripped to shreds, then ignored.
The internet in some ways, is NOT so different from the real world. In an Online Community such as this one, respect and recognition need to be earned. Yes, you will be welcomed with open arms...But how you present yourself, your ideas, and questions will really determine whether or not folks will want to talk to you or help you to the fullest extent...
If I had half the knowledge of many of these gentlemen, I would ignore half the posts on this board especially after I found out that a 15 year old spelled "School" as SKOOL.....
I am sorry for the rant, but it has just amazed me that there are young folks on this board that have the intellingence and know how to do anything they want to a complicated piece of machinery like a Revo or a Savage...yet can't, or won't, put the effort into typing a post without 4 misspelled words and no punctuation. No, this isn't English class, it doesn't have to be perfect. But at least have the respect for yourself and others and try to take some pride in what you put out there in Cyberspace........We won't even get into discussing what life will be like for you out in the real world "if" you care so little about how you are percieved....
Disclaimer: I have noticed that this is a World Wide Site-That said, If English is not your "first" language, especially if you reside in another country....Kudos for trying and doing the best you can........
Falling off my soapbox now...
