In the market for a esc/motor and pack for a 1/8 buggy. But was wondering if going with a 120A on a 1900kv but with only a 3000 mah 35c 4s would be safe? Id only be getting like 105A out of the pack right? Just wondering if I might be on the edge of smoking stuff that way. I would like a larger mah pack but room is limited to 140mm.

Your battery definitely wont work and I really dont think the ESC will hold up either. I tekin 1900kv motor can pull as much as 170A with a nominally charged 4S pack your probably looking at somewhere around 120-130A average. I also compared a Trakstar 2000kv which can range anywhere from 120-175A depending on pack voltage. the lower the pack voltage drops the higher the Amp draw becomes.

gensacearespammers makes THIS which is only 136mm long....should fit. and it capable of outputting 318A. They also have a 5000mah version for 4 or 5 bucks cheaper.

As for an ESC Id get a minimum 150A :)
