Hi, can some one tell me the pro's and con's on AM and FM radios? I know with i FM radio you can drive your car futher away from you(I'm not trying to run it so far to wear my car looks like a ant lol). can some one tell me more about this subject?

Less outside interference from certain things like illegally boosted CB radios and some high tension lines. Also a cleaner and more 'locked in' signal.
Amplitude Modulation (AM) vs Frequency Modulation (FM)

To be honest, I didn't notice much difference. Powerlines still affect mine. I went from a JR Xr2 (AM 75Mhz[i think]) and traxxas TQ3(AM 27Mhz) to an Airtronics MX-3(FM) in both trucks.

Maybe it's different when you drop $300 on one of the higher priced FM's, but I don't have that kind of coin to find out.

I dumped my stock radio for the XR3 after I had a runaway due to an illegal CB radio in a passing truck. The same truck goes by every day, and on a few occasions other stock radios have been hit, but not the FMs.
I also fly R/C, and there's a reason there are no AM radios at the field. They are only used in small, cheap park flier electrics.
