My buggy started acting real stupid on me after installeng a 3300 nimh battery. It was trying to run in reverse and flipping the front end all over the place, and just acting stupid. Is the am radio system this bad?

The battery shouldn't be what would have caused the interference, and the AM itself should run ok. I've had several AM systems and run them out further than I could see with no glitching. If you're running in the exact same environment as before, I think you have another problem. Did the ESC get wet? Didn't you get in a real bad wreck or was that someone else?

I did wreck it and it might have gotten wet as well, is that like two strikes or three and your ESC is outta here?

Yeap, I had an ESC get wet one time and it was jerking and twitching like it was getting crazy interference. Once I replaced the ESC, everything went back to working. I do have a nice performance mod brushed motor and a nice competition grade speed control that I would sell really cheap. I bought it from a fellow member here and got a great deal on it, but I've got so much brushless now that it's just been sitting on the shelf, I never even used it. If you're interested shoot me a PM, I'll sell it to you for what I've got in it.

I think my system cannot handle the nimh battery as it hauls, and boy did it get hot at the connectors. I have never seen this buggy run this fast! Now I am getting excited about trying something faster! I need something faster as I really want to race it, but it is an old rig.

Standard Tamiya. I fried the ESC for sure and it has been acting up since I smacked it. This is a very expensive hobby, and I thought golf was expensive!

I will be going to them shortly! This hobby is a big learning process for me and making costly mistakes along the way.
