:) Heh, sorry, I just lost my temper earlier in the thread.

I would like to apologize to anyone I offended.

I got carried away,

:)

Me too. I was in a ball busting, and bad mood all at once.
Thats no reason for me to be a pecker head.
I have not been warned by the men in blue or anything, I just wanted to apologize to the crew and Bouzouki as well.

I feel better today. :trashed:

Note to self:

Don't race my RS4-3 ss back east with anyone named "Ross"! (j/k)

Those guys are just pissed because my cheap-ass stock RS4 18ss is running more laps at the BARCAR races than their expensive Pro-Level touring cars with all the upgrades. :)

Just wait until I build my R40. :devious:

Wait till I get my outlaw engine ... better yet, you need to run with the Malachi Bros.

All kidding put aside, you'll love the R40 when compared to the RS4-3 SS. It's a world of difference.

Last time at Barcar there was no Outlaw and I ran with all the ROAR touring cars. I just got my ROAR membership card today.

no, I didnt bother taking pictures, I just forgot about the thread since it turned into a flame war and me and razto settled it anyways.

By the way, it's nice bring threads back from the dead isnt it?

This is a dumb ? but I'm a noob what can i say. Ok what does a throttle return spring do? Where does it go? I feel so stupid saying it and i really didnt wanna start another thread. Thanks guys.

I just noticed this thread and started reading at page one to see what it was about. It's pretty bad that this thread started out talking about the trouble you can get into if you don't extend your radio antenna and ended up with 4 pages of bitching about weather or not a chassis was made by NASA. I'm also surprised a mod hasn't moved this to the "WTF" threads. Who give a poop where his chassis was made or what it's made out of? A picture of it wouldn't prove where it was made either, so everyone is waisting time and energy argueing about it.

Anyway, I just wanted to add that I had the chance to learn the hard way a few weeks ago about not extending the antenna. I was at the track and was having tuning issues so I decided to run my Losi XXX-NT in the parking lot and make my adjustments there. When I first dropped my truck on the ground and headed off across the lot, my truck took off across the field and headed towards the woods. At first I didn't know what was going on. Then I glanced down at my radio and noticed the antenna was down and snatched it up while holding full brakes. My truck stopped about 5 ft. away from a line of trees. I was lucky due to tall weeds and rough terrain slowing my truck down, quick thinking and fast reaction. The whole event only took a few seconds and I would hate to have been in the same situation in a different location. If the field hadn’t been grown over with tall weeds, I’m sure I would have been pulling pieces of my truck out of a tree. Now my antenna is up before my truck leaves the starter box.

obb its a spring that connecst to the throttle arm and a clip on the pull starter. it brings down the throttle if the batteries run low but i would still suggest a failsafe

It's a spring that returns the throttle back to the idle position. It does nothing if the servo locks into the open position because of a short (seen it happen and destroy a car). It's actually more usefull in case the ball pops out of the cup. If that's the case a failsafe will prove to be worthless. I used to run both a failsafe and TRS. Now with my new radio, I just run a trs since the radio has a built in failsafe.

so the return spring is only useful when the throttle arm brakes or somthing similar??

yeah but it's also good for when you lose power and don't pay attention to your voltage. It'll swingback your servo (so they say). You have to have a spring that will overcome the servo. Too strong of a spring and the servo is working against it.

:jet: well I ran with out the antenna once and it didn't make it too far LOL:stupid:
