What is a good airbrush for beginners but has all you need to become an expert? price, model, part # would be appreciated thnx.

umm i really like the airbrush we got at wal mart.its only like 60 dollars. i dont kno the model and everything but its made by TESTORS. I Like it it aint no 300 dollar one but it gets the job done..

I used to recommend the paasche vl but lately it seems that both Candyman and myself are having the same problems with ours. I had to finish my last body with my old aaztec brush. So I am also curious what other good brushes are around.

ya i c that. th iwata rates a ten and the paasche VL only rats 6.25 so i don't know i see the price difference though!

Yeah, I kinda thought that too. Sata is about top of the line in paint guns, but I haven't heard much on their brushes. But check out the price!!! http://www.airbrush-depot.com/scripts/depot.exe?pgm=absata.bbx

What is wrong with you guys Paasche brush, NCNitro? I haven't heard anything but good about them. I looked at them.
Seems like they had different tips and I didn't want that. A buddy of mine liked Badger, so I got one of those.

I have a Badger Cresendo (lol, I finally figured out which I had) It's nice, but I don't really get to use it enough to really know how to use it... :( It came w/ like 3 tips and 3 needles, and 3 caps, and a few options for how to spray the paint (gravity feed, ect...)

Mine is a Badger Anthem.

Get an old piece of glass and practice on it. Helped me a lot. Now if I could come up with a paint scheme and some masks that are the right size.....

I started with a Badger 350 single action which was good to learn the basics, but not enough flexibility. So I have been using a Paasche VL for the last 3 or 4 years. But lately I've been having trouble getting consistent flow and my atomization has suffered. I just put in an order with Dixie Art for an Iwata Revolution HP-CR gravity feed which should be here in a week or so. I'll see if that's any better.

Iwata revolution hp-cr is the only way to go. That is what some of the top guys use for rc cars. and they are only about 60 bucks. the eclipses are a little nicer, but you really don't need the added features for these little rc car bodies.

passche VL-set or the iwate hp-c have both and they work great the iwata has the capability of finer lines provided you can keep your hand steady enough to do it, the VL is fully capable just takes a bit more to clean then the HP-c but can do fine lines as well as full body coverage that the HP-c just can't do as quickly and if your working with candies or transparent paints then the VL makes it easier for a novice to get better results due to the larger coverage area per pass then the iwata.

I own both and use them in the areas that they excel in but if you are going to get one and are not sure if you plan to stick with it or you just want to learn then I reccomend you get the VL the parts are much cheaper and it is just more forgiving then the iwata, the iwata needles can be damaged very easily if your not careful.

Airbrush reviews on this site. Top of the page. http://www.airbrushtechnique.com/forums/index.php?

I haven't used mine but a couple of times, so I don't know how it will hold up. Like it, so far though. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX8157&P=0

The Iwata's are supposed to be a real good brush from what I have read.

are you apart of ABT forums? i been there since it started..i would recomend the Badger 155 anthem. its an all in one gun meaning no changing of needles for fine lines to think lines. i have had mine for about 3 years and it stil runs wild. o highly recomend this gun to anyone. not only do i use this gun for bodies but also anything else that doesn't move.
I had an Aztek as my first airbrush and i hated it soo much. those tips are soo retarded it oly a way to make more money for testors. the plastic body feels weird because its soo light.

Fridge, just found the airbrush forum a few months ago.
Glad to find someone that uses that gun and likes it. Not used mine much, but I will!
