I just baught my first air brush in a long time and i painted my first real flames body today and it turned out ok but i think my prob is I'm not cleaning the gun good enough. I tried paint thinner and it doesn't work good and i tried mineral spirits and that doesn't work either. Now i have to ask you guys what do you use for cleaning air brushes? I use spaz stix ready to spray air brush paint. I dont want to hurt the seals in my air brush so please let me know what you guys use. Once again thanx alot guys. John:wasted:

Don't know a whole lot about airbrushes but I have used paint guns. I am assuming that it has removeable needles, take them out of the brush and gently clean them. The paint guns I used had a fluid needle and an air needle. Remove the tip, if you can, and gently clean it. Remember, I said I don't have any experience with airbrushes, and I don't now what you have so examine your brush carefully first. Hope this helps until someone with actual experience chimes in.

to clean out the spaz stix all you need is good quality lacquer thinner, run it thru the brush while back-flushing it occasionally this should get rid of any dried paint in the brush.

I was also told the denatured alcohol works as well but have yet to try it to clean the brush, I mainly use it to make sure there is no water left in the brush after cleaning out the water based paints I use.
