Ahhh...this is becoming tedious.

Psh...I wish. I have money, but I'm trying to work a deal out with Plaid for a rolling chassie. Right now the car has nothing on it but the differentials. I'm actually took the engine into school for a project and it took me 10 minutes to get it out of the packaging I put it in!

Right now, it hasn't run for 3 weeks as of today. It works out sorta cause now I don't have to buy fuel(I was almost out)!

Well...today my mom and I bid on a few parts from Ebay. Right now I'm the highest bidder for -

and a Radio Box that was like 3 bucks to bid and $3.50 to Buy It Now.

The HS - 625 is for steering and the stock steering is going in for throttle.
Revo Rancher is also giving me a bumper and a servo horn I think. Thanks to him!

Yeah, I have your parts, just need time to stop and get some padded envelopes so I can send them out. Did you ever get a failsafe? I hope to get them in the mail by Wednesday. Wife's out of town for awhile by then so I will have more time.

Don't feel bad, same thing happened to me my first time, although with much less severe consequences. When I bought my 9.5 Pro (used, ebay, oops!), I cobbled it together, and just left the rx pack sticking out of the radio box (no failsafe). I took the turn at the end of my driveway, and my receiver pack went one way, and my car went wide open the other way.

It crashed THROUGH my neighbor's pipe rail fence, under a travel trailer, and wedged against a jack holding the trailer, where it ran WIDE OPEN until I could jump the fence and shut it off. I figured it was upside down, and would just die, so I didn't rush at first, but it had actually high centered iteslf upright, and would have revved until the engine blew, or it ran out of gas.

This was within 5 minutes of starting my first ever nitro car up to drive. Needless to say, my palms were sweaty, and I was shaking the next couple times I drove my car.

So yeah, lots of us have made stupid mistakes. There is a several page thread on this very topic somewhere, so you can laugh at all of us too.

E-Bay is the best way to find oddball OEM parts on the cheap for massive overhauls. People part out these kits there on a regular basis, you did the right thing.

Yes, I know tedious. I'm a nb with an lst2, run it about 5 times, and each time I require more parts... and since I order online, cause the LHS never has the parts I want, I wait up to 14 days to my parts. And something is usually on back order (the part I need the most). It's weird how you can blow money freely on useless stuff, but find it hard to buy stuff you need for your truck.

You can certainly say that again!! lmao!

I'm over a $grand$ already, on a $409.00 RTR kit.
I think I know what "RTR" actually means now:
"R"eady "T"o "R"EALLY spend some money now. :)

YAY - I have all my hex drivers, tread lock, and the driveshafts I needed. Now I can start the rebuild. I'll keep everyone updated!

Okay...well, I've rebuilt her. IT LIVES. I have yet to connect everything or start the engine and I'm still missing a front a-arm and a steering servo. I'll post pictures later. Ebay really saved my ass...a $71 chassie for $10.50 . I think I'm going to clean out the engine and then fire 'er up probally after school is over(In the summer, don't want to bust it up again.).
