K, break-in is complete but am experiencing the following conditions.

1. Top end speed is good with a nice trail of smoke, temp is around 230.
2. When I burp the throttle I get a decent cloud of smoke, some minor bogging/loading up and then it launches nicely.
3. Re-starting is difficult and often requires some waiting before it will re-fire and when it does fire up, it often dies when I remove the glow starter.
4. Plug is good, glow starter is good.

I'm thinking I'm just a little lean on the HSN and just a little rich
on the LSN. I just finished breaking the engine in (RB Concepts CE) and the factory settings were for a very rich break-in. Maybe I still in the 80% power range. Any ideas ?

savage is 100% correct - u need to lean out the LSN - also - i think your HSN is too rich also, not too lean. 230 is a lil cool, should be about 240-280.

Cool beans - I thought I was on the right track (comes from hanging out in here too much), but wanted to run it by the
HMFIC's in here. Thanks.

yep, i concur, your LSN is too rich.

signs of a rich LSN

1.) bogs down when you gun it (make sure you clean it out first)
2.) hard to start without giving it throttle
3.) flooded glow plug that only works with the igniter plugged in

you got em all. the pinch test works too but that's kind of crude.
