Hey guys. Piggybacked off Sledgehog's thread on the New associated rtr MT long enough. Thanks, sledge. Time to start my own. It's a performance and upgrade thread more so than a project thread. Think it's a good fit here.

RPM bling arrived and fit out begins. Mock GMC blower, side exhausts and body rails. This should be a fun install.

Cheers. 'AC'

That is one cool looking monster truck with the RPM parts it will be strong

Install is done on the RPM Mock Blower, Exhaust Tips and Body Skid Rails. RPM does a really nice job with the instruction sheets. Walk you through the install and provide spot-on templates. They make it so even I can do acceptable work. :)

It only has to look good once at presentation, right? Now I can go out and bash it. Bought the mock blower in black too for a backup and an extra exhaust tip set. Actually, did a mix and match with a chrome flange and black tip on the driver rear side and a black flange and chrome tip on the passenger side rear. Skid rails really are a sturdy package. Large install cup on the underside reinforces the body rail protection zone. Same with the blower case and hat assembly.

Cheers. 'AC'

Hey guys. Started the new year off with a bang last night and a bash today. County is putting in walkways along the bayou. There are lots of raw earth sites to choose from close to home. A bashers dream come true.

Ran a 2s LiHV shorty today. 4600 120C instead of the 5000 50C 7.4v full length normally run. Honestly, did not notice any change in run time.

Had great a great bash. This is what got me into R/C in the first place years ago. Just flat out fun. MT10 continues to impress. Cheers. 'AC'

Wow forgot I had started this thread. Apologies for leaving you guys in the lurch. I'm playing the senior card.

Update images of the MT10 (Mod) with the new ProLine 1966 F100 body. Spent a good deal of the day stickering her up. Still needs a set of trick Monster Truck stickers. Something will come up. Anyway, here she is, complete with a 1955 Nebraska front license plate. Cheers. 'AC'

Got some ramps in today on a back yard course. Test set-up. Getting a feel for the space a course will need to provide for a challenging series. Ran a real simple set-up based on a Y.T. vid by Cobra Kai (RC).

Got the F100 on its lid twice, so it's broke in now. Power unit is 2s x 5000 50C, 120A ESC and Spektrum 3300Kv sensorless. Need a set of chevron tires to make it fully JConcepts Stage 4 legal. Good thing JC having a class for I.S. monster trucks. That way it can run off against the solid axle MT's.

Darn, the grass is dry. Dead is more like it. Goes 'crunch' underfoot. Cheers. 'AC'

I'm glad someone is getting some play time in. 😍 Going to go fly RC's tomorrow morning. It's been over a month!

Yeah, Doom!. Drought and heat conditions being what they are, have to force the issue to get play time in. Hunkered down in the workshop now. Putting a storage charge on the MT10 LiPo and soldering up an adapter lead for the SMT10.

Supposedly rain today, but it's always in the forecast. Never happens. Hope you get run time in. Cheers. 'AC'

Oddly enough we had an hour or two of light showers today. (wish I wasn't at work) I think it's the first rain we have had since early May. We probably won't see anymore until late October, or Early November. I just can't wait for the heat to go away.

MT10 ran the first back yard monster truck event today. Set up for a Blue Course racing lane, followed by a Red Course freestyle arena.

He she is set up as 'Rival MT10', aka Orange Crush, on the freestyle crush car obstacle. Second image is overall of the freestyle. Only have a few ramps so far but lots of open space to play on a 90sec freestyle session. Cheers. 'AC'

Dude, that Ford body is sick. Looks awesome on the MT10!
Thanks, Kevin. Here she is stickered up. Posed her sitting a #2 ramp and blue crusher tubes. Same basic chassis as the 'Orange Crush' (above). Removed the wheelie bar and fitted a set of Pro-Line Demolisher MT tires on Raid wheels.

Have a 3800Kv sensorless I'd like to get swapped in for the 3300Kv before the October event. At any rate, am going to drop a tooth on the pinion to 11 to see what that does. Still on 2S. That's my standard.

Thanks for looking in, guys. Cheers. 'AC'

Been dabbling about a bit with the Rival. Little stickering up. Actually ran a simulated rally concrete/grass in the front yard last week. Started following ARA (aka American Rally Association) simulated their running of the Headwaters Rally in Minnesota this weekend.

In order to be somewhat complaint with their 1:1 rules package, had to remove a turbo. Class rules only allow for a single turbo. Left the mounting base in place for re-install later if need be. Did some stickering to simulate aluminum sheeting on the body rear. Kind of breaks the all-yellow/orange and highlights the roll cage somewhat.

Selected '410' as a rally racing number. 4WD, 1/10scale. Ergo, '410'

Running 60% THR with a 3700Kv sensorless on 2sx5000 100C. 120A ESC. P-L Trencher belted with 12mm AL hexes. Cheers. 'AC'
