Afternoon all, I recently acquired a used Conquistador. It appears to have an Acme .18 engine - I can't seem to find any info on the engine via the internet. I'm looking for specs on glow plug and carb settings. Does anyone out there have any info to point me in the right direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That might be a real tough one, as those are not a very well known brand. 'Typically' manufacturers set factory carb settings at flush for a starting point, and set your idle gap for .5-1MM. Other than that, if the plug lights up, run what you've got and see how it goes. If it doesn't light up, then maybe start with a medium plug such as a McCoy MC#8.

Then follow this tuning guide here: https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=76808

Tks for the reply lesclaypool, I'm pretty comfortable with big blocks but this is the first time I've messed with anything smaller than .28 so I was hesitant to apply previous knowledge. The plug that was in there doesn't work and has no markings on it so I am just being careful at this point. I'd rather spend time doing research than gettin a blister from a pull start. Tks again.
