Thanks Alot Boss

The chassis on the RTR is weak. My wife had the RTR and I have the pro and there really isn't a comparison. The Pro chassis is much stronger. Although, if you had the Z brace and aluminum chassis braces for the RTR it may be ok but I recommend the Pro. Look on Ebay, Dragon racing makes a chassis for it as well that is very strong also.

Yea it is and i did get the truggy broke inn but your not going to believe this i got a brand new spektrum dx2 put it in . i got maybe 3 tanks and it wiged out stuck about 1/2 throttle and took off i could not do anything with it but chase it like a little dog after it got about 100 yards away the only tree with in 100 yards had to somehow grow right in its path well you know that won,t good broke a front a arm by the time i got there i was about maybe 30 feet or so i could control it agine still dont know what happen havent had the time to troubleshoot it yet any ideas

I was going to say you need a fail safe, but if you put a spektrum dx2 I thought they had them built in to there reciever ? I would see about haveing spektrum pay for the damage because it sounds like a bad radio to me.

SOunds like a bad/stuck thottle servo to me. I have had it happen with the spektrum kit that you buy and the 270 servo they give you with the kit...... on two occations. Make sure to ditch that servo and buy a good one. I usually move the better one that comes in the kit to the throttle and buy a really good steering servo. So far all good now. Both my friends who had the kit had the same problem as well. :)

that happened with my firestorm 10t. just took off. it hit a chain link fence, so nothing broke, but it worked fine again. makes me more cautious about the radio range...

Spektrum does have a built in failsafe but of course you have to set them properly first.
If she was set properly then I'd definately be looking at that throttle servo.
