I just bought a brushless motor for my Traxxas Slash, but it runs in reverse. How do I fix it? Can I reverse two of the cords?

Yeah, as long as it's not running a sensor wire.

Oh haha, just swap any two. It’s a 3phase motor, so the phases of a,b,or c can be swapped around. Black for black.

A sensor wire is the spare wire on some ESCs.

Motor has ABC and esc has orange, yellow, blue.
Been researching it online, but got confused with people talking about sensorless and sensored

Most often, ABC is left to right both on the motor and ESC, when looking from the side of the wires.

This is also the case here.

Blue = A
Yellow = B
Orange = C

so you mean to tell me.. standing in front of god and your mom that i can swap motor wires and fix my reverse problem rather than swapping the thing on my controller,,.... wtf I've had this issue and pulled my hair out trying to fix it and i coulda just swapped 2 wires????? i thought id make a fireball if i did this..

You can only do this on brushless setups that are non-sensored. If you do this with a sensored setup, you will burn things up.

But for a non-sensored brushless setup, yes, if you swap any two motor wires, it will reverse the direction of your motor.
