I hope you get well soon man.
You work security at the hospital, I'm sure you may be able to just happen to "find" the blood thinner "laying around somewhere" lol. Just kidding man not worth losing your job over.

Well my INR level went up to 1.2 and they decided to take me off the Lovenox injections, now I'm on a heparin drip through my IV, the hospital pharmacists said it would be more effective treatment. Still won't discharge me until I reach a INR of 2.0

That's good news. Heparin is an anti-coagulant that I've mainly seen used to flush IV catheters.

At this point I don't care what meds they use, I just want get out of the hospital and back to work, no ones just going to hand me $500 to buy groceries, gas and pay bills this week:(
Here is a pic for your ammusement

INR Level hit 2.1 today and I finally got to come home, now I just have to take another medication called Coumadin for the next several months to keep my blood thinner and allow my blood clot to slowly desolve. Bad part is I have to get lab work done all the time to monitor my INR Level.

Good to hear that you're out of that place. Take your meds and get some rest.

FREEDOM!!!!!! Glad to hear your back home bro hope the meds do their job.

So how are you doing today. My father has been calling me lately telling me of a leg pain that's recently started in his right leg, I'm curious as to what your symptoms were prior to you landing in the hospital.

He had a quadruple bypass done a few years ago (7yrs), they removed the artery in his left leg so the could graft it to his heart (hornets nest), now here's what puzzles me the pain as he described it is coming from the right leg, and not the one the surgeon operated on!, I've told him he need to see a doctor but he keeps putting it off.

It wasn't so much that I had a lot of pain , what I had was lot of swelling below the blood clot in my knee, kinda looked like I had Popeye calves, lol! It did cause some pain but it wasn't severe, I worked like that for over a week before talking to a nurse and they told me I better go see my doctor because it could be a blood clot. Now that I'm on blood thinner medication the swelling is slowly going down.
