Time for a transmission build. This is an interesting one. CA glue? Really?

Ok. If you say so.
20250223_205534.webp

These rings create a spool. You can see these are keyed with a hex.
20250223_205602.webp

Time for the fun stuff.

Input shaft and this wierd transfer gear assembly.
20250223_212014.webp

Rather than an idler gear, this assembly transfers the power from the input shaft to the spool.
20250223_212629.webp

I am almost certain I took a pic of the inside of the trans assembly, but I guess I didn't. So look at the outside and like it!

Assembled and mouted to the upper rails.
20250223_215721.webp

Time to attach it to the chassis.

Man-this thing looks a LOT nicer than you give it credit.. 🤩 Coming together super nice man!! Take it easy on yourself over there-you got nothing to prove!! 😅🤷🏻‍♂️
I was about to mention how fast all these projects are flying together now! Lots of Fog going on over here lately!!! 😎👍

Some of this build seems a bit rough to me... It looks like you're rocking right thru it all tho! 😍

Anyway, pardon the rude interuption by that @Xraycer guy. Pfft 😆

Time for shock towers.
20250224_051504.webp

You gotta see this dumb chit. In all my years, I have never seen a more piss-poor assembly diagram. I am sure there is worse, but I've never seen one. Not only are the lines showing the path the parts follow to mount the parts to the tower overlapping each other in such a way it makes it impossible to figure out where the parts go, but this shows the parts in a completely different location than they are in the second pic. Pay attention to the M3x20 screws, and how it shows it going through the little part with the pin on it. Nope. That's not where those go. Those are the screws that mount the tower to the bulkhead.

20250224_052855.webp

This is where the items go according to the first of the two pics above. I may move the upper arms out to the outside locations as in the second pic above to give the csr less negative camber.

Can't put my finger on it, but it just seems like something is missing 🤔
Read the OP silly. I am just building the chassis to kill time. Electronics will be ordered like, maybe a year from now 🤣

So,................you're not done?

My screws showed up. I gotta get this off the bench 😉

Time to bring it all together (uppers and lowers)

Front assembly components.
20250224_060225.webp

Nothing worth talking about. Pretty straightforward.

Just put the balls in the holes.

Boom. You can tell I'm rushing huh?
20250224_063645.webp

Boom.

Daaaaaaaas not why…..😈
Yeah, you know why. Damn my fat feet. I'm posting this and turning wrenches.

Ok. Back to this one. Shocking!
20250225_092023.webp

Didn't lose a single e-clip. Yay.
20250225_093131.webp

O-rings installed in adjusters with a little green slime. Make sure to rotate these threads backwards until you feel the first threads click. Then thread on. These are very delicate, plastic threads on the shock body.
20250225_094834.webp

Huh. Mineral oil. I haven't seen that since the 80's. Ok. I said I was assembling this per the manual.
20250225_095109.webp

Not full enough.
20250225_095515.webp

Full enough.
20250225_095609.webp

No idea what this value should be, but I made them all the same.

Ok. My OCD wouldn't let me not post the last of this. Bumpers and body mounts...
20250225_142239.webp

Done for now. That better @Xraycer? 😜
