I got it last night at 7:30 from my lhs lol. I couldn't wait and finished it at 2am. Just need to do the body and solder a trx plug to the esc. The only difference from back then to the reissued is the esc. The rest is the same. It even comes with the grease and shock oil from back in the day.

I compared the frame and stuff to my original black foot and it checks out to be the same. Ill take pics of it and post it. I may buy another one and put it together as a shelf queen that one i will do the thread. They do have another one at my lhs for $169 if you wanted one.

Btw anyone thinking about getting a frog needs to stop thinking and get it!
I personally enjoy it more then my emaxx bl edition. With the hpi Sprint 15t motor and esc and lipo it runs like a champ! Love it!
Only one problem i have and that is that all my rc buddys want to take it from me.
Wait a minute. .....you mean that the grasshopper that is being reissued today is exactly the same as back then?
I was looking at that first but i thought that killed it like they did the blackfoot
That Fast Attack vehicle pictured above looks like a Grasshopper repeat.
That looks like the tub chassis, hard body, (Top half) and a solid swing rear axle.
My nephew's Frog was also the first clear body I ever saw that was painted from the inside.
Look at the front shocks. That's what the early 80s Grasshopper had...
That's the same tub chassis and steering set up. Different battery and they changed the rear.
Dude those Tamiya rigs are sweet. I have been checking out a Lunchbox for my son. Hope to surpise him with one for Xmas. And maybe a Tamiya F350 for me LOL, really thinking hard about getting into the scaler rigs.
