good morning to all-
So last evening I was flying my latest victim, an Eflite UMX Turbo Timber STOL plane which I have come to enjoy very much, when as I pulled a sharp turn just over my head, I found to my dismay that a tree had sprouted and grown up right behind me... And when I picked up the plane which collided with the tree, i noticed that the prop had shed a blade. Now, this little plane uses a thre-blade prop, but I have only two-blade spare props which work with all of my other planes.
I went online and ordered a couple of spare props for the poor Turbo Timber, but I got an idea. Why wouldn't a two-blade prop work on this plane? So I attached a spare two-blade and it seemed to fit acceptably well.
This morning I took the plane out back to the flying field, and Fellers, it worked fine. Made a slightly different sound than the three blade prop, but it rook off, handled well, had plenty of power to climb, and it seemed totally acceptable.
And when I came in for the first of several landings in the dewy wet grass, I managed to keep the plane away from trees which might have spring up behind me while I was flying. Got to watch those fast-growing trees, you do.

you all be safe and keep well- Ed

I had a Carbon Cub UMX several years ago that I was flying several years ago and turned on final and had a tree reach out and grab it. I feel your pain. The good news is that you had some parts to fix it.

Turbo timbers? Yeup good fliers and pretty forgiving. Watch the foam after crunching it, it does crack up, some foam glue and tooth picks should be in your tool pack, acrylic paint for damage works great.
