A duck found me!

I was at work cutting some steel. I looked out the bay door and seen a crow chasing something.. So I went out to the drive way And holy poop its a baby duck?...
We looked for its mother but didn't see her so I brought it home.

I probley will grain feed to fatten it up. and in a few months eat it! :jk:

That's pretty cool. Since it doesn't have feathers yet, you know the nest is very close by. Take it to work, and let it wander around outside. You might have to keep an eye out for crows, but I'm sure the mama duck will show up.

I think the crow picked it up some were and droped it.
We have a pond out back but have never seen any baby ducks..Just some mean geese.
I whouldn't have time to watch it So It whould have been food for some other animal.

call the local humane league about it. best thing for the duck is to give it to them to rehabilitate. you could keep it, if thats what you want, though you would have to contact the game commission and get authorization for it, there is paperwork that needs to be done. they make a big deal out of it because its a "wild animal" i went through this with my pet squirrel, ended up being too big a pita, so "spike" went back to nature. he was so young his eyes hadnt opened yet when i found him, his mom was dead about 30 feet away, damn cats.

lol thats hilarious. i used to have a blue lobster thing in my fishtank. that bastard ate every fish i put in there... so I just let him do his thing and id throw some cheap fish in there every week or so. lol

I used to have little pet water frogs and i caught minnows in my stream. Then i put 1 in their tank and they ATE it in one bite!!! it was awesome!!! so then that was all i fed them untill i ran out of minnows.. I guess thats why they died. One of the minnows must've had a disease. LOL.

My rabbit's overwhelming as is..especially since I moved him to my room and i'm allergic to him. Another animal would be difficult

its a baby mallard, or at least it look just like the ones at a local park. we prolly have close to 75 ducks, mostly mallards, and 30 or so geese and swans. its a pretty big public park with a nice lake, great place to run my boat btw ;-)
