So here is a build I just finished with a little back story first. I'm an avid oval racer, I have 2 custom works sprint cars, a latemodel, and a street stock. Well I use the Milwaukee pack out tool boxes for my parts and tools and pit setup. I had to also carry a separate box for my rc charger and one for my remote. So I decided to expand my box set up and make this ....
I used a 2 drawe pack out box. The bottom drawer has the charger and power supply in it. I put a 3 prong PC cord plug on the side of the drawer to plug it in once at the track. The charger is the new toolkit M8D touchscreen 2 channel charger. It is all powered my a rotor Ron (80 watt if I remember correctly) power supply mounted in the bottom of the drawer. That powers the charger and the lights and USB and 12v plugs. I also wired in 2 exhaust fans ( on top in the back) ans 2 inlet fans on the front hidden to make sure there is ample air flow for the charger and power supply. I then used a 1/4 inch sheet of plexiglass to make the face all this sits in inside the drawers. Used my vinyl cutter to make all the letters and mirror imaged them .... once everything was in place and stickers on, I spayed the back side with purple color shift paint. To finish it off I installed a cheap led set under the face to back light the lettering after painting it ... I like how it turned out, and on a plus the top drawer in the cabinet has some foam I cut out for all my batteries and my nb4 to ride in. Now when I get to the track I open the drawe plug it in and I'm setup , I even have USB plug to charge phones etc , and a 12v banana plug for pit light or whatever
What yall think ?
