1.When breaking in the engine should u leave the shell off or put it on?
2.Can u drive them in the snow?(ofna ultra lx one is my nitro car)
3.is it ok to drive them in 20-30 degree weather?

Here's my thoughts...

1. Leave it off until you are happy the tuning with keep the buggy running and you won't need to fiddle with the needles. DO NOT rake the buggy as if you roll it with the shell off you can damage more stuff.

2. Yes, but you need to make sure that
a) The electrics are waterproofed.
b) The engine temps stay high enough that you don't damage the engine. (some people recommend tinfoil or an old sock over the heat sink).
3. See above.

Easy method:

Take some balloons (or condoms which work better, but more expensive and your mom may ask questions :)) , put your Rx and battery pack into a balloon each and seal with cable ties.

Longer method see: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=792xio8mpZ8"]YouTube - Waterproofing your RC and winter running PT 1[/ame]

I would leave the body off, for break in, just for ease for adjusting, and if your breaking it in, you shouldnt be going to fast for at least 5-tanks, for water proofing, should make sure some of it is at least water resistant first, and yes, 20 degrees is fine, i live in maine, ran my truck just this night, in the snow, and it is about 20 degrees, and gets colder, i plow right through snow bankens, and make race tracks on the frozen ponds, most of my maxx is water proof, well water resistant, but other than that, should be good.....

which makes your engine run hotter, bieng to lean or to rich

Your electronics may already be waterproofed, mine came with sealed servos and reciever box

which makes your engine run hotter, bieng to lean or to rich

Running lean makes it run hotter, SIGNIFICANTLY. You'd only need like a 1/8th turn on the needle, so BECAREFUL IN ADJUSTMENT!!! Mine went from not warming up to burning my fingers in ten min of running in a quarter turn! and Ice is more fun then snow to drive in;)

leaner makes it run hotter but if you run it it in the winter you would want to richen it up a touch.

Yeah tuning is based a LOT on the current weather conditions. You would think (logically) that cold temps would allow you to lean the engine out more and keep the temps under control....but in fact you want to RICHEN your needles since cold air is denser than hot air and to keep the right balance....you'll need more fuel for the amount of air coming in and such. It's strange at first....but once you get into tuning....your ear will tell you what the engine wants. Temps are just one tuning aid...and the one you should rely on the least IMHO.
